Who we are

Restorax is hotel software (bookings, front desk, housekeeping, sales and banquets) made by R A Creators, India. It is used by hotel companies through the website (crm.racreators.in and ops.racreators.in), the Restorax app for Android and iPhone, and the Restorax Reception app at a hotel’s front desk.

Each hotel company decides what it records about its guests and customers, and is responsible for that information. R A Creators keeps and processes it on the company’s behalf, only to run the software for that company. For the people who sign in (a hotel’s staff), R A Creators also keeps their account details, as described below.

What is kept

  • Your account: your name, email address, role, the hotels you work at, and your sign-in password (stored only as a one-way hash).
  • What you do in Restorax: the records you add or change (bookings, payments, enquiries, tasks and so on), with who did it and when, so a company can see its own history (the audit log).
  • Security and sign-in records: when you sign in or out, the IP address and browser or app used, and errors the software runs into, to keep accounts safe and fix problems.
  • Your phone, if you use the app: a notification token (to send the notifications you chose), the app’s version and whether it’s Android or iPhone. Nothing else about the phone.
  • The hotel’s own records: guests’ and customers’ names, contact details, stays, bills and payments, and, at the front desk only, identity documents as the law requires hotels to keep. ID numbers are shown masked; ID photos stay on the hotel’s reception computer and are never handled by the phone app.

Restorax does not use your location, contacts, microphone or photos, shows no advertising, does no tracking for advertising, and never sells or rents anyone’s information.

On your phone

The Restorax app keeps a view-only copy of your own screens so you can look things up without internet. That copy is encrypted with a key kept in the phone’s secure storage, sits behind your fingerprint, face or phone PIN, and is erased when you sign out, when your access changes, and after 7 days without contact. Nothing in it can be changed offline.

Why it is used

  • to run the software for your company: show, keep and change its records as its people do;
  • to send the emails and phone notifications people chose (for example a follow-up that’s due);
  • to keep accounts and data secure, find misuse, and fix errors;
  • to give help when your company asks for it (R A Creators support sees a company’s set-up, and its guests’ details only with the company’s approval, every step recorded);
  • to keep invoices and receipts as tax law requires.

Who else handles it

Only services that help run Restorax, each bound to keep it confidential and use it only for that: hosting (Vercel), the database (Neon) and fast storage (Upstash), in Singapore; email (Resend); and phone notifications (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple’s notification service, which carry only the notification itself). Information is given to authorities only when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

A company’s records are kept while it uses Restorax. If a company leaves, its data is erased 365 days later (it can download it before then), except invoices, credit and debit notes and receipts, which are kept for 10 years after that for tax purposes. A person’s sign-in records are kept as long as their company’s.

How it is protected

Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Each company’s records are kept apart by the database itself, so one company can never see another’s. Access inside a company follows each person’s role and hotels; R A Creators staff have limited access, recorded and shown to the company.

Your choices and rights

You can see and correct your details in Restorax (My account), and choose which notifications you get. To get a copy of your information, have it corrected, or have your account deleted, ask your company’s administrator, or R A Creators as described on deleting your account. Guests and customers of a hotel should ask that hotel first.

Children

Restorax is for hotel staff. It is not meant for children and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date. Questions or complaints about privacy: “Get help” in Restorax (signed in), or your company’s administrator. R A Creators, India.
